@benbrown That'll add some urgency

@rose What's hilarious is to see a big box store around here lock all their crap up. But, a smaller regional chain store just down the street doesn't do that. So, I just walk over there and buy instead

@stupidmentalhealthwalks went for my stupid mental health walk and fed some actually rather clever crows

Just attended a Zoom meeting and forgot I'd left my light therapy panel on, just out of frame. Looked like I was in the process of being raptured

@maddiefuzz @thegibson @tek @Wrewdison @arcans @nomad does this hurt the hard drive?

I wonder if an Apple Vision Pro counts as safety glasses in a shop?

Do you have to get the creepy projection of your eyes on the external screen to wear virtual safety glasses for it to count?

I need to find a better home for this playlist someday, but my bot spying on one of my favorite streaming stations (bigsonicheaven.com) has grabbed 5417 (mostly) unique tracks so far. I guess there's a limit of 10k? We'll see if it gets there.

open.spotify.com/playlist/1xBb

The bot had an outage for a year or so, after the source it was scraping went away. But, I found a new source for the data and dockerized the thing, so it's going strong again. Not really a point to it, other than that I think it's nifty at this point

Oh yeah, and here's the source for the bot. It's just a pile of expedient hacks, nothing exciting but it does the needful

@squeevening she said it was a good size!

I seem to remember, once upon a time, some folks talking about building mini-apps atop ActivityPub & the fediverse. Like mini-apps in WeChat - e.g. little portable web apps that fit in a message, maybe in an iframe. Maybe it was a fever dream, but anyone else remember this?

If the Apple Vision Pro is too heavy, maybe they should sell a kind of block & tackle system to mount to the ceiling and offset some of the weight? Could even put it on a sliding rail track so you can walk back & forth in your office while wearing it

Livin la vida loca: I've got an Amazon order coming tomorrow with vitamins, fiber supplement, and a new water filter for the fridge

Just bring back the "Sword of Damocles (1966)" style display rig

@socketwench Heh, trying to do stupid things with streaming & cameras is the first time I really ever ran into USB bandwidth limits

@evan oh no, even if it was a fever dream, i fear i may have to build it now :blobsweats:
