Had the bright idea to wifi-ify my 3018 CNC by attaching a RasPi Zero W to run a web-based g-code sender on my LAN. But cncjs is the only project I've found so far, and Zero seems maybe too underpowered to run that :thonking:
@tankgrrl I have also seen some firmware for ESP32 that exposes a serial port over websocket. Might be a handy alternative too, just for a virtual serial cable over wifi
Hmm, one gripe with Phanpy after using it for awhile: The emoji search is... weird? Not sure if it's a sort order thing or what, but it doesn't come up with the same emoji for the same input as Mastodon proper.
Like typing :sweat in Mastodon gives me my old standard sweat-smile to represent my persistent anxiety 😅
In Phanpy, I get :chick_happy_sweatdrop: - which is weird?

Speaking of Raspberry Pi, I will say this little HDMI USB video capture widget is pretty handy.
Not awesome frame rate or quality for game streaming, but good enough to hook up a Pi and use a PC camera app on a laptop as a quick & dirty monitor. Only about $15 on amazon
I'd link to the HDMI USB widget I bought - but this seems to be one of those no-brand or randomly-branded items that's generically made by a rotating cast of factories and goes in and out of stock like quantum foam
@roland Yeah, on Windows the out-of-box Camera app treats it as a webcam. Same for macOS and Photo Booth. Then, just use the preview window as a virtual monitor.

Just peeked in on the X (twitter) account that I've left mostly abandoned since Dec 2022.
Much to my surprise, my notifications tell me that I've been followed by over a dozen attractive ladies in just the last week alone! Why, I'd be a fool not to hop back on over there and find out what they all see in me!
