Printed a low poly bear with Cookiecad Funfetti PLA the girl got me this week and it looks like an ice sculpture, especially with the gyroid infill

@ramsey Technically, maybe? It would be very crunchy. Not a practical food item

Hard to capture in a photo, but the infill and sparkles look really neat when you turn it around in the light

@ramsey For that kind of thing, you need something more like this chocolate printer youtube.com/watch?v=JlylupVEwR

Oh hey: I have a 3D printer now, so I need to learn about 3D scanning so I can make pirate versions of these Office Gods figurines I've had knocking around for like 30 years.

I found these Office Gods at a random mall store back in like 1995. Surfus, Computa, and Caffeina. They’ve been on every desk I’ve worked at since college.

There are a handful more like Faxus, Copius, and Fila but I’ve never found them except on ebay auctions that already ended

Printed a sparkly funfetti and galaxy purple Commodore Pet

@giflian oh, it could be!

@lytta It's totally fun! I'm looking around for more dumb knick-nacks to print with it. I got it as a gift, but I think this is their site. I also got the "Unicorn" and "Sunset" filaments, looking forward to printing some critters with them shops.cookiecad.com/collection

Watching a video like this is really neat, because it's like How It's Made except I could conceivably acquire the manufacturing equipment and enjoy How It's Made: The Home Game

@mekkaokereke It's taking my whole life to unlearn the disdain for AAVE that I was taught as a kid. Thank you for highlighting this!

I’m having fun learning how to use this little 3018 toy machine

Cursed thought and I'm going to hell for speaking this into the world

@rgegriff Have you ever wanted to watch a Twitch stream of a corporate mascot bantering 24/7? You will! And the company that'll bring it to you? AT&T
