Oh, holy crap: turns out this that I started building last summer boots up after all!

Kind of shoved it to the back burner when it didn’t work immediately, back in September, because I was changing jobs and didn’t know where my oscilloscope was.

Today I found the scope, checked things out, and looks like it was just some jumpers on my FTDI widget 😅

I've also acquired a 3D printer and a CNC machine since I last played with this RC2014 kit. That means I need to make a case!

Of course, now that I have a working , I have to remember how to use CP/M 😅

@bruce oh, those look like great projects! I need to keep skilling up on this thing

@maddiefuzz lovely spam! wonderful spam!

@healyn I... might have to get into this business

Hmm, no idea what I'm doing, wondering if my CF card for the C: drive on this is.. empty? or if the CF card board needs work?

I seem to have figured something out with my , RomWBW, and disk images - because I now have Zork

Welp, that's 2 major hobby successes today, time for bed before I try starting anything else

@ilneill I've got a 512k ROM 512k RAM Module and downloaded a release of RomWBW, which comes with a pile of disk images. Used Win32DiskImager to dump a combo image combined with a games image, and Zork I worked for me.

@socketwench You've inspired me to do a bit of this later, too, since my turns out not to in fact be broken and I have a few boards left to build!

@thegibson I think @Macross has one 'o them too, and now I'm wondering if we need one for our next car? We have a Subaru Outback and it's alright but I could do without most of the dashboard electronics

@thegibson @Macross 🤔interesting! we were thinking about looking for something used yet reliable. Mainly groceries, sometimes maybe hardware store stuff.

We went years without a leased car and now just kind of want to run out this lease and never do that again. We'd lucked into a reliable no-frills Saturn Vue that we paid off and it lasted for 10 years. But, alas, we left it in another state.
