I'm sitting out on my deck doing some writing. A little jumping spider just moseyed onto my ESC key to check out my screen. Glad I'm not using Vim right now.

You know, I, too, could lead your company into driving its stock down by 30-50% for the mere sum of $1 billion per year.
It would be a challenge, but I could do it. I'm not even looking for double-digits here. Or even multiple years of employment.
And, you know, I would even accept a mere $500 million at the end of the year in the case that I somehow fail to ruin your stock price. A bargain!
@jrconlin Yeah, I tried that a bit ago and it has no effect, since it appeared "off" when I got to that page and it only let me opt in harder
@mekkaokereke I tell them that was good practice and relocate them to a different place that probably has more bugs
Weird me-problem: I've been to the neighborhood pho place like 4 times now. I want to go back today for lunch but I'm anxious they'll recognize me and I don't want to be perceived. Reasonably speaking, they're probably happy to see a regular? Why is my brain like this?
I feel like this is some weird deep-rooted thing that might have been useful if I were an ancient human hunter or gatherer, compelled not to do the same things too often and thereby set up a predictable pattern. Gotta keep them sabertooths guessing!
Alright, compromise plan: I'm leaving the house to get lunch from a vegan jewish deli down the street. That's new and still makes me a little socially anxious. But they don't recognize me yet. Maybe pho again next week. None of this is an actual hardship so ๐คทโโ๏ธ
@dave0 This is in Portland, OR :) We might have been in the same town at one point, though, since I've lived in Ann Arbor, MI before
@agnes Ooh, I've heard that sewing cheap polyester is actually harder than more robust fabrics - so this sounds like learning how to sew on Hard Mode to boot!
Well, I tried the vegan deli, got a reuben sammich with โroast beefโ. Looked good but, alas, I think I am not a vegan deli fan
The chickpea salad with capers was great. The sammich was... well, vegan.
I always want to try vegan food and have had good experiences - but mostly when it's not pretending to be meat or cheese.
Now I'm hungry for some Ethiopian food ๐ค
@rafial how dare you
@rafial (i've used this exact 3-word response in a half-dozen threads today, I think it's enough to keep my license going)
@GeePawHill @andrewfeeney I've got an old Samsung Galaxy S8 that I think can run nginx? We can toss that on the pile
@rckenned See, now, if it's a decently thick slab of tempeh for me to sink my teeth into, I'm in!
