About half-way through a replay of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, between #gamedad and PC thanks to sync’d game saves. Forgot how obsessed I was with this soundtrack back in 1998
If I remember right, I could pop the SotN game disc into my CD player and just play the soundtrack directly. Which I also remember doing a lot
But also, I remember SotN being one of the first games where I wanted to explore the map just to hear what new music was going to come up for each section.
Only other game I can think of where I really got that was Axiom Verge

@LambdaCalculus oh, I remember that Alucard warning! But also now that you mention the audio streams, I think I’d gotten the import soundtrack CD. So I wasn’t playing it off the game disc like I’d first misremembered. 🤔
