Oh, and I shipped a Discord bot this year too! That doesn't get un-shipped until next month though.
I'm tempted to prioritize a mobile app and a Discord bot for my Pebbling Club side project so I can say I did it again in the same year

Is there a way in Mastodon to turn this "Filtered notifications" thing off altogether? Ideally, just letting the notifications through? It's an extremely tedious user interface

@aud Speaking of AP parsing in Rust... have you by chance seen this ActivityStreams parser? It kind of hurt my brain back when I was also trying to do some activitypub stuff in Rust

@aud Yeah, I tried following along in that code to learn me a Rust. Eventually my brain went TILT and I just did like "huhuh funny lookin' JSON" in code form
@aud If I'm following, I feel like maybe I did this sort of thing back in the heyday of RSS parsing - I ended up punting and just stored whatever blob of XML-like data I found regardless of validity, because I'd always be tweaking the parsing later

Currently doing some webdev wherein I have 3 different browsers open to catch divergent behavior. And the worst & weirdest, almost always, is Safari. Like, not all the time, but just enough to be annoying. I'd mostly stopped having to do this over the past 10 years, but I guess we're doing some weird stuff?
@zkat I am definitely in the the throes of these exact feelings myself, right now. And I am highly convinced of my ADHD despite (ironically) putting off an adult diagnosis for years
@zkat And "caring that much was harmful in its own way" - whew dang have I been caremad to my internal detriment so very often at work
@zkat I also wonder how many other folk are in this same boat right now - after recent layoffs and pivots shifted them from sweet spots of happy work into not-entirely-interesting-yet-paycheck-providing work
